Aston Martin replacing upcoming V8s with inline-sixes

first_img It’s likely the six-cylinder will be paired with a hybrid system to make up some of the torque deficiency versus the V8, but this would be a first for the brand for a road car.It would be fairly easy for Aston to just chop off half of their excellent V12 and use that as the basis for the six-er while also using hybrid tech from the forthcoming Rapide E, although Aston has said that plug-in tech “isn’t premium enough” yet, so it’s unlikely that we will see a PHEV version.
